Step 6: Write a Letter
Take on the role of a person from your chosen inquiry question, and write a letter from their perspective.
Your letter should discuss your life on the goldfields in Australia, including your experiences and contributions to the colony in which you live.
You should include aspects of your life including:
You should refer to your notes from our letter writing classes to determine the appropriate structure and language you should use for the intended audience. Keep in mind that you should also use language appropriate for the era and the person writing (for example, a digger will write differently to a Governor). As it is written from their perspective during that time, your letter should be written in the present tense.
Once complete, move to Step 7.
