Step 8: News Report, Mini Documentary or Town Meeting Debate
Using your research, your mind map and the knowledge you have gained, you must persuade an audience to believe your understanding of how Australian colonies in the 1800s were impacted by significant events such as the gold rush or the Eureka Stockade Rebellion. This understanding must relate back to your inquiry question. You need to also explain how it has shaped Australia for us today based on evidence from historical sources.
To present your arguments, you will produce either a news report/article, a mini documentary or town meeting debate. It is your decision as to whether this is a written piece (news article) or a video clip.
